5/22 Burn Band Rescinded

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the local Bureau of Indian Affairs Wild Land Fire team has rescinded the previous BURN BAN and enacted the 2025 Fire Burn Restrictions effective immediately or until rescinded. The burn restriction used will follow the Bureau of Indian Affairs Wild Land Fire Index to determine what kind of burning you can do on any given day. The current burn restrictions PROHIBIT, in any fire index, controlled burns of pits of any size (i.e. garbage pits, woodpiles, tumble weeds, tree piles, etc.), and crop/agriculture land burning (excluding: campfires, burn barrels, and or fires for Ceremonial purposes The 2025 Burn Restrictions are in place until November 1, 2025 or until rescinded
